The project: The construction of a new building for Hailsham Primary Academy in East Sussex.
Our team carried out all commercial plumbing, gas engineering and electrical work.
The result: Work completed 11 weeks ahead of schedule.
This award-winning commercial construction project was led by Morgan Sindall, an outstanding construction company who won the Building Project of Year under £10m SECBE Award 2020.
We loved working with Morgan Sindall and being part of a project that was delivered 11 weeks ahead of schedule.
The significant highlight of the project pinpointed by the judges was the excellent levels of collaboration and teamwork.
Our plumbing and electrical contractors were part of the exceptional planning and practice that meant children could start the school year in their new building. Without this best practice on site, the young people would have spent six weeks in temporary accommodation. It was an excellent achievement for all involved.

Commercial gas engineer and electrician for school construction project
The project: The construction of a three-storey building at Bohunt School, Liphook, Hampshire. Paine Manwaring provided all commercial electrical contractor and mechanical services for the project.
The result: A 16-month project for a three-storey building.
Educational projects require precision and speed. Our commercial gas engineers and electrical contractors are renowned for the skill and precision they bring to projects.
The construction of the three-storey sixth form building in Hampshire took 16 months to complete and included classrooms, a learning resource centre, cafe, social area, toilets, and more.
Construction firm Stirland W Ltd appointed us to provide the mechanical and commercial electrical contractor services for the project.
Our skilled team was responsible for everything, from fire alarms, to heating systems, and theatrical lighting.
Adam Whitehead, the Headteacher of Bohunt School, said the project had “created not just a wonderful school but a vibrant, dynamic, safe environment.”
We were delighted to provide the commercial mechanical and electrical services for a building that was so striking and impressive and served the needs of so many young people.
Commercial electrical work for hospitals
The project: A £7.5 million project constructing a new facility at Southlands Hospital in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex. Paine Manwaring carried out all commercial electrical work for the new complex.
We were part of a year-long building programme to create an ophthalmic assessment and surgical facility.
The local area needed much bigger facilities with improved light and air quality.
Consultant ophthalmologist, Mr Masoud Teimory at Southlands said, “Many of my colleagues around the UK could only dream of having such fantastic facilities.”
Our commercial electrical contractors worked throughout the complex and were fundamental in the smooth running of this £7.5 million project.
The result: The work was completed on time and on budget and provided a much-needed ophthalmic assessment and surgical facility for the local area.
Commercial electrician and gas engineers for the aviation industry
The project: A 115,000 sq. ft warehouse and logistics hub extension for the aviation industry. We carried out all commercial electrical and gas engineer services at Avtrade Contracts.
The result: We were invited back for phase 2 of the project.
Electrical, gas and plumbing contracts for industrial facilities require a depth of expertise and talent.
Our electrical and gas contractors rose to the challenge of working on the 115,000 sq. ft Warehouse and Logistics Hub.
The hub permitted the company to keep high volumes of stock and service over 800 airlines with 5000 aircraft parts per year.
We were part of this Phase 1 development for the new warehouse and warehouse extension.
We provided boilers and wall mounted heating, domestic water services, and a fully integrated BMS system, amongst many other items.
