Experienced Electrician

Exciting opportunity for a Experienced Electrician with a local West Sussex Electrical & Mechanical Contractor.

Paine Manwaring Limited currently has an opportunity for an experienced Electrician to join our existing small works team. You will be based at Worthing, attending a wide range of domestic, commercial, and industrial premises including education, healthcare, offices, carparks, retail, and domestic properties.

You should hold the current level of training and be able to undertake electrical testing in accordance with BS7671, able to complete NICEIC certificates, have a full driving licence and be competent in fault finding.

Additional training will be provided for other systems that we work with.

Working closely with the Manager and the Administrators, you will ensure that the property/premises are maintained to a high standard and to always ensure safe working practices.

In addition, this role is responsible for the maintenance, modification, and installation of electrical systems.
This is a permanent full-time position: 40hr working week, Monday – Friday 8.00 – 5 pm; with 1 hr lunch.

You will be required to:
· Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
· Carry out fault finding, testing, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical building services and equipment.
· Carry out Periodic Inspection and Testing and provide Electrical Installation Condition Reports.
· Carry out installation works in domestic, commercial and industrial premises.
· Liaise with clients and be the face of the small works department.
· Have a positive attitude, integrate and become an active part of the team.

You should have the following qualifications and experience:
· Hold a full current UK driving licence.
· NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation including AM2 (or equivalent)
· City and Guilds 2391-52 (or 50&51) in inspection and testing (or equivalent)
· 18th Edition qualified
· Experience working in a similar role and able to work without immediate supervision.
· Competent in IT skills – (for training, emails and use of tablet/smartphone)
· Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance
· Self-motivated and proactive, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
