At the end of this month our Contracts Manager, Jason Lamb will throw himself from the battlements of Arundel Castle with only an abseil rope protecting him from sudden doom.

And not only that, he is taking part in the event in aid of the charity Home Start on the back of a hernia operation!

Jason said: “A couple of friends of mine invited me to take part in this great cause. I have never been to Arundel Castle even though we do live very close! Therefore, I thought I would take part and see the views at 180ft up!

“I have never abseiled before so this will be interesting. I had a hernia op recently, however my consultant surgeon did say it would be okay for me to take part it in thankfully”.

Home-Start is an incredible charity which makes a huge difference to local families who are going through a tough time. It recruits, trains and supports volunteers which then visit and give practical and emotional help to young families that need a little bit of extra support.

Home-Start has asked that each person taking part in the 180ft abseil raise at least £250. This is the cost of basic training for a new volunteer, who will then go on to support local families escaping crisis, ensuring their young child(ren) receive the best possible start in life.

Jason hopes to raise at least £250 from the event, however, he says he would love to raise more. Please show your support by visiting his fundraising page – https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/jasonlamb1
