Plumbing Apprenticeships

Our plumbing apprentices undertake the Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician NVQ Level 3 qualification at Chichester College. This four-year programme combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, covering health and safety protocols, core plumbing systems and effective customer service. 

Apprentices gain practical skills in measuring, cutting, bending and joining various pipework materials, ensuring they are well-prepared for real-world applications. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to register as Engineering Technicians (EngTech) through the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE).

Gas Engineering Apprenticeships

Our gas engineer apprentices enrol in the Steve Willis Level 3 Gas Operative Heating & Renewables Apprenticeship, Pathway C. This 30-month programme, which includes a three-month End Point Assessment (EPA), is aligned with the Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS). 

Trainees learn to safely install, commission, service and maintain domestic gas appliances, gaining knowledge in electrical and mechanical principles, regulatory compliance and energy efficiency. Training takes place at Chichester College and Steve Willis Centres. Successful completion leads to registration on the Gas Safe Register as a fully qualified engineer.

Electrical Apprenticeships

Our electrical apprentices pursue the Installation Electrician/Maintenance Electrician Level 3 Apprenticeship (HIP Standard) at Chichester College. This four-year programme focuses on the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems across domestic, industrial and commercial settings.
Apprentices develop proficiency in working with diverse electrical equipment, interpreting technical drawings and planning installations. The curriculum emphasises both technical skills and the importance of delivering quality customer service. Upon successful completion, apprentices become approved electricians, fully qualified to work independently in the industry.
